this game is easy enough as it is.. why are you trying to make it even easier. If you can just buy items to remove the dp, then what is the purpose of implementing dp anyway? DP was added so that when you zone into an explorable area and you clear monsters etc, making your way through your goal but unluckily die.. you respawn at a shrine so you don't have to zone back to town.

When you respawn, the monsters don't respawn so you are basically progressing through the same mission that is much easier because you already cleared some of the monsters before and then you now can use the dp removing items (which is purchasable as you want it to be) and then continue moving on. Way to go making this game easy. If you cannot progress through the storyline and need to resort to this option then... dude... get a grip.

This would also be very abusable in pvp arenas or competitions. 3 deaths in gvgs will lead you to 45% dp, one more death and you're out. You can use this super item!! No more fear of getting dp'd out!

There's very few places where one can actually use dp removal (I'm thinking Minerals), and like it was mentioned, if you really need that added bonus a scroll or two will do the trick. In my opinion, if such an item was made a constant drop, regardless of how uncommon, it would take away from the 'charm' of special event items.

I agree with G_MAGNUS totaly I farmed alot of these things and saved them till they reached 1k each as we all knew they would be that much eventually

Just beacuse some people missed out well im sorry but tough titty you didn't spend all day farming candy cane shards.

After wintersday I had 37 candy canes. A month ago I sold 10 of them, saving the other 27 for a time when I needed to use them. Since I'm a caster I've found that my builds work with no problems down to about 30% dp, so below that is when I need to clear DP. When I've got that much dp has always been one of these two situations:
- The PUG is so bad as a whole that we will just rack up the DP again, wasting the candy canes
- FoW groups when I still have the reward from the first quest to grab, which I chose not to pick up eariler so I could save it for when my DP needed clearing. This usually is still the first situation.

So I've never actually used the candy canes I have, so why should we add more ?

how about items completing quests instantly

u dont want DP ? dont die..
u are dead ? deal with it ..
u die too much ? ask yerself some questions and/or press alt+f4 .. DP ll be removed for free

Although I don't think they should implement full DP removing items, I think they could do something with adding rare scrolls that, say, remove 15%DP from every member in the party. Priced accordingly. I mean, as it is, our guild stocks up on scrolls before doing the more difficult things (Urgoz and such) and it works essentially the same way. But no, no more 100%dp removing items.

I would like to reverse the idea: When you die you will soon recover the penalties by killing enemies. Thing is, that when you normally progress without dying, you earn + bonusses way too slow! Compared to how fast it goes when you have a death penalty, the bonus for killing when you don't have a penalty should progress the same way. Thats not the case. So I plea for making the bonus the same no matter if you suffer a death penalty or just make healthy progress

I think this solves everything: when you die you will already have benefit of the + bonus, which is not the fact with the current system.

agh so many /not signeds IMA die,lol umm I changed my OP to having an item that completely removes it being extremely rare, and one that removes a small percent being semi rare, and I included more reasoning for this, along with the fact that DP stacks faster than it can be removed normally. Please don't get angry before making a suggestion to fix it, I am only tryiong to help people, not trying to start a flame war. I do enough defending peoiple from flames as it is, I don't want more.

I hear... in the back of my head... the evil.... 'selling <item> X sojs!'

Dp was added as a penalty to dying, this penalty is to encourage you not to die. A permanent removal item removes the point.

They shouldn't have added CC in the first place.

Try doing a titan quest with a pug. The casters rush in like maniacs...
"Rez pls"
"anybosy got cc I buy"
"wts cc 5k ok?"
"ok"
"woot we can do this, we so pro!"

Instead of stuff like candy canes, we need more places like THK (teaches damagedealing so people don't bring 5 selfheals.. seriously, I restarted my "nubs in thk" project and it has gotten worse, 100% failure now instead of the 90% 3 months ago), Arborstone (teach people to bring res things... everybody who gets stuck in arborstone is someone who doesn't bring a res), ...

I thought it was every 75 EXP that removes 1% DP?

ty for the flame hockster much appreciated *drools sarcasm* anyway, I do know how to play the game TYVM I also know that once you hit that ungodly 60% dp mark, you can't get back on your feet, hence DP removing items.

If you consistently get a 60 DP, you *do not* know how to play. Or play quite horribly. Either way, wanting/needing a crutch is pathetic.
